I spent my Sunday afternoon transforming my $4.00 thrift find into something more functional for my decor.
My wooden tray started out ugly with golden handles. I removed the handles to paint them antique bronze, and in the process discovered that the handles were marked "Canada". Was the tray originally from Canada? Little things like this always make me curious :-)
I primed the tray white and then spray painted it aqua. I love the color so much I'm looking for something else to paint this color HAHA!
Isn't my little baseball player cute? *grin*
I also modpodged some black and white scrapbook paper in the bottom of the tray. I need to practice more doing this... it's a good thing I planned on putting display items on the tray!
I'm linking to these Monday parties:
Adorable! I wonder if there's any way to make a tray like this food safe?
ReplyDeleteThat's a really beautiful tray now.
ReplyDelete@ Party Mom- Tater Tots & Jello referenced a spray for food safety, but didn't give a product name. I'll be researching more myself :-)
