A couple of months ago, I got this really cute cotton fabric:
Now I have no idea what to make with it. At first I thought about Retro Butterick 5209 (the version with the cap sleeves):
And then the further I started looking at my patterns, I thought about these too:
Butterick 6582 (the yellow version)
McCalls 5847 (a cute shirtdress)
and lastly, Vogue 2902
Since I'm indecisive, I'd like my fellow retro bloggers to help me decide. Vote now and maybe leave me a comment as to why you think a particular pattern might work. I don't have my kids this weekend so I'd like to crank a dress out in my free time :)
I don't see an option for you to give me that fabric - it's so lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabric. I voted for Butterick 6582 because I think it needs a full skirt and I love the shoulders.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Vogue, but only if you can find a really good match for the contrast!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the fabric!! I'm a sucker for florals of all kinds. I voted for the first one, but I'd also toss a vote towards the last Vogue one as well. Or even the Butterick, just not the Mccalls shirtdress. It needs a full skirt in my opinion. Can't wait to see what you turn it into :)
ReplyDeleteI voted for the last vogue with some contrast trim and belt in red maybe. It is a very difficult decision!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Butterick 6582. I feel it has to be a twirly, twirly skirt! So cute. Just love the fabric.
