Everyone raise your hand if you love thrifting. Or junking. Or whatever you call it...
I had been on the lookout for 1950's kitchen canisters. I knew I wanted aluminum or chrome- something in the silver family. I had spotted some plastic canisters or even bronze ones from the 60's... where's the love for Lusterware or Masterware???
Then FINALLY I spot this set at a local peddlars mall. And guess how much they were? Ten dollars. Yes, $10.00! I grabbed them up quick and brought them home HAHA!
I cleaned them out, but still decided not to directly put flour or sugar into them. My solution? The smallest bags available at the grocery fit perfectly inside them and since I only use small amounts on a daily basis I was happy. My tea cannister holds my cold brew packets, and some day I'll have a one cup coffee maker so I'll use the coffee cannister then :-)
