I cannot get the song "Kiss With A Fist" outta my head! I absolutely love Florence Welch's voice- it's something different and their (Florence + The Machine) music reminds me of an updated Siouxie & the Banshees.
Anyway...
I've been going through my house, looking for items I can update. Update with paint because I'm on a spray paint kick! So whilst wandering through my house, I went into the downstair's half bath and found my next project:
Ewww right?!? It's hard to tell, but this little bathroom is painted a yellowed-green color. I have 2 sets of these poppy "prints" because I thought the colors in the art went well in the bathroom.
Now I want to paint that bathroom the same color as the den, dining and living room: "Ponytail". That's the actual name of this paint LOL. With that in mind I decided to spray paint and modpodge this art work, to become something a bit more modern:
Ugh! I can't wait to get used to this new camera LOL. To start off, I spray painted the entire front with a glossy Ivy Green. I didn't use primer, and wound up liking the effect of the wood peeking through without taking a step to distress.
Then I modpodged 2 different 12x12 scrapbook papers, both black and white in a damask-type pattern. The paper fit perfectly in the center! No trimming Ma :-)
I hung them temporarily in the living room until I get the small bathroom painted. Right now it's the cats bathroom and I've got to move them out to proceed.
Thanks for stopping by today and I love any and all feedback you leave!

Really Cute! I love anything with black and white and damask so you had me at first sight for sure! I am working on a very similar project with art that I had hanging above our bed and I wonder how I could have had such bad taste to pick it out.haha

I {LOVE} your use of black and white damask and green. That was actually my wedding theme and colors. I totally could have used you as a decorator! Good work. :)
